Once Burned review

Jeaniene Frost’s first installment of the Night Prince Series opens in Florida when Leila (aka Frankie) gets kidnapped by a group of vampires looking for information about a very powerful enemy. Lelia has the rare ability to psychically perceive information about people through the objects she touches. Once she reaches Vlad, she sends out a desperate cry for help. Vlad rescues Lelia and shows her a world of opulence where his world is law. The physical attraction is instant and Lelia is intrigued by the seeming duality of Vlad’s nature.

When one of Vlad’s old rivals seeks to destroy everything Vlad holds dear, Leila finds herself in harm’s way.  The two must overcome emotional and magic barriers to save each other.

My thoughts: I’m a sucker for vampire/paranormal romance and this one was hot. The writing was incredible and Oh my god is Vlad Tepesh sexy. Vlad and Leila’s chemistry  is amazing. Overall I loved this book, i read it in about a day and would not put it down. I look forward to reading the sequels and the rest of Frost’s novels.

Note: The image of Vlad come from the 2014 movie Dracula Untold, not Frost’s novel Once Burned.
