According to style2designer the chemical composition of cotton is Cellulose – 91.00% Water – 7.85% Protoplasm, Pectin – 0.55% Waxes, Fatty Substances– 0.40% and Mineral Salts – 0.20%.  Basically that means that cotton is a plant, and is a highly versatile one at that. It is used in everything from jeans to knitted or woven textiles and of course the T shirt.
